Radiology

A radiologist is a doctor who specializes in imaging examinations and their interpretation. Radiological examinations include, among others, X-ray, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), and ultrasound.

The radiologist's work is largely consultative: they interpret the images and write a report for other treating doctors. In addition, radiologists perform image-guided procedures such as tissue sampling and drainages.

Imaging services are needed in almost all specialties, so radiology is a key part of modern healthcare. Private imaging facilities offer quick appointment times.
