Neurological physiotherapy
Neurological physiotherapy is a specialized branch of physiotherapy that treats functional problems caused by damage to the brain and nervous system. Typical clients include people who have had a stroke, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, or a brain injury.
A neurological physiotherapist uses neurorehabilitation methods such as motor relearning and the Bobath concept to improve mobility and balance. Rehabilitation is often intensive and long-term.
Starting early significantly improves rehabilitation outcomes in neurological diseases.
